Floating, Trunnion, V-Port, 3-Way & Wafer Type
Ball Valve is a quarter-turn valve that uses a hollow ball as the flow shut-off element. Unlike gate valves that require many turns to open/close, ball valves only need a 90Β° (quarter turn) rotation from closed to open position, making operation very fast and efficient. Ball valve is one of the most widely used valves worldwide for various industrial applications.
Ball Valve is a quarter-turn valve that uses a hollow ball as the flow shut-off element. Unlike gate valves that require many turns to open/close, ball valves only need a 90Β° (quarter turn) rotation from closed to open position, making operation very fast and efficient.
When fully open, the ball is parallel to the flow direction, creating very low flow resistance (pressure drop) β almost zero β making it ideal for applications requiring unobstructed flow. The shut-off element can be a full bore ball or a reduced port ball depending on the design.
Karya Mandiri Valve provides Ball Valves in various design types, materials, and sizes. From standard floating ball valves for water, trunnion mounted for high pressure, to V-Port ball valves for control applications. All products come with material certificates (MTC) and test certificates to ensure quality and reliability.

The most common type. Ball floats freely between two seat rings. Suitable for water, wastewater, HVAC, and non-corrosive applications. Economical price and available in Cast Iron, Ductile Iron, Carbon Steel, and Bronze.

Ball is reinforced by a trunnion (fixed shaft) so it can withstand high pressure without deformation. Metal seats are suitable for oil & gas, steam, and high-pressure high-temperature applications.

Ball bore shaped like the letter V providing precise linear flow characteristics. Ideal for process control applications. Available in 3-way (T-port, L-port) and 2-way designs.

Has 3 flow ports (2 inlet + 1 outlet, or 1 inlet + 2 outlet). Available in T-Port and L-Port configurations. Used to combine, divert, or switch flow between two pipes automatically.

Ball diameter smaller than the pipe (reduced bore). Lighter, cheaper, and fast response design. Ideal choice for systems with space limitations and minimal pressure drop requirements.

Thin design without flange, installed between two pipe flanges using stud bolts. A lighter and more cost-effective version of ball valve. Available in floating and trunnion wafer type designs.
Note: The pressure values above are the pressure ratings at ambient temperature (~38Β°C). Actual pressure ratings will decrease as operating temperature increases according to the ASME B16.34 curve. Class 150#β600# is generally used for utility & water system applications, Class 900#β1500# for oil & gas, while Class 2500# is for high-pressure applications.
