Rising Stem & Non-Rising Stem • Cast & Forged Body
Gate Valve is the most commonly used valve in industrial piping systems. It functions to fully open or close flow, not to regulate flow rate. The gate design provides very low flow resistance when fully open.
Gate Valve is a valve that uses a gate (sliding door) as the flow closure element. Designed for fully open or fully closed operations, and is not recommended for throttling.
When fully open, the gate valve provides very low flow resistance (pressure drop), almost equivalent to an empty pipe. Ideal for applications requiring unobstructed flow.
Karya Mandiri Valve provides Gate Valves with various materials, pressure classes, and sizes. All products are equipped with material certificates (MTC) and test certificates.

The valve stem rises and falls visibly outside the body during open-close operation. Common for water, steam, and non-corrosive fluids.

The valve stem does not rise. Suitable for limited spaces such as underground and manholes.

Rubber/resilient seat provides perfect zero-leakage sealing. Lightweight, corrosion-resistant, ideal for clean water and fire hydrants.

The most common wedge design with a single solid disc. Simple construction, strong, and reliable.
Two discs press against each other and the seats when closing. Better sealing at low pressures.

Specifically for clean water, wastewater, and irrigation. Made of ductile iron with epoxy coating.
Note: The pressure values above are the pressure ratings at ambient temperature (~38°C). Actual pressure ratings will decrease as operating temperature increases according to the ASME B16.34 curve. For high-pressure & high-temperature applications (such as steam and oil & gas), Forged Steel Gate Valves (Class 800 to 4500) are the primary choice.
